Today they shot another black man in the. He said asleep in his car in a drive-thru and Wendy's. The police were called and by the time they got there he had pulled into the parking place.
They tried to arrest him. He resisted and ran off. The shot him in the back because he had taken one of the tasers belonging to the police.
The police are obsessed with getting someone to the jail once they decide to arrest them. If he is innocent before proven guilty why not let him go. Why does someone have to die rather than get away.
This is not how they treat white people . . .
Here's an example of white privilege which people don't want to believe still exists but it does. I was blocking traffic in the drive through at Burger Kind because I was arguing with the cashier. She called the police they came and asked me politely to move over
Then they asked me if I was ok and maybe I should go home. They ended with "Have a good day."
I was treated fairly because I wasn't black. Racism is real. White privilege is real.

The most common reason people go to jail is for resisting arrest. The police do not need to catch you in the act of a crime. They just decide arbitrarily to arrest a person ho has usually not committed any crime. Now resisting arrest becomes the crime and this is what they are charged with when.
When I asked the district attorney and the police and my son's lawyer what crime he had committed that he resisted being arrested for, they said there was no crime. I asked them what they meant and they said this is just a reason to get somebody to jail and charge them.
A couple of occasions when I was younger I resisted arrest. The police did not hurt me. They did not shoot me in the back. They just said calm down mame, I'm going to take you to the hospital let you talk to someone in a psych ward. You're obviously under a lot of stress and we want to take care of you. The only difference between me and my son is it I am white and he is black.. We both have a temper but I get treated differently when I explode.
The police need to be reformed. I think you should actually have to commit a crime before you get arrested. The man they killed in Atlanta, Rayshard Brooks, was supposedly being arrested for drunk driving. The problem is he wasn't driving. He was sitting in a car. Sensible people when they've had too much to drink pull over and sleep it off. They don't drive until they're sober. So this poor man was trying to sleep it off and yes they tried to arrest him. He was not arrested for blocking traffic. He had already pulled over into a parking lot. Why didn't the police just leave him alone. I'll let you answer that question for yourself.
