I am reading the Interior Castle by St. Teresa of Avila. It is about containing complete union with God by going through seven mansions. I was reading about the fourth mansion and saw this passage. At the same time I was working with a student regarding the third step which is turning our life and our will over to the care of God. Some synchronicity . . . And believe me what matters is not whether or not we wear religious habit it is whether we try to practice the virtues and make a complete surrender of our will see God and our lives as his Majesty ordains. Let us desire not that our wills but his will be done . . . The Physician will in due course even though he tarry to heal us. I will talk about this later, but the eighth mansion was (for a woman) marriage with Christ and for a man marriage with the Holy Spirit. So she must have believed the Holy Spirit had a feminine nature. Amen!!!!
